We enlisted the help of Jim and his team for our Yale Conferences and Events staff retreat. This summer the Willimantic Police Department and Windham PRIDE Coalition are running their Summer Youth Leadership Academy. In preparation for the second phase of our program, where high school aged youth will be mentoring middle school aged youth, we brought seven of our newly selected mentors to the Cornerstones Northeast Team Building Adventure Based program for the day.The facilitators for our training were wonderful created an environment for in-depth learning and positive experiences for our entire group. Jim at Cornerstones was very responsive and was able to set up a program for us last-minute, which was very appreciated! I had heard excellent things about Jim and Cornerstones Northeast Team Building from someone that I have great respect for who has worked with Jim in the past.When I contacted Jim he was quick to return my email. We were able to schedule a 3 hour program for our 9th grade class on a date that was good for our school.Jim brought along a colleague, Sheldon, with him. They were sensitive to any covid protocols that had to be followed.Our 9th graders had a great time working with Jim and Sheldon. They definitely know the age group and they definitely know what activities and games to play. Our morning was filled with fun and everyone worked on their communication skills and teamwork.I had 2 other chaperones with me. Both were so impressed with Jim and his work.
